Planet Pulls Harder

Every object pulls on every other object. An object with more matter pulls harder, so a planet pulls a child much more than the child pulls the planet.

In the picture

The child: the smaller amount of matter
The blue planet: the larger amount of matter
The thick band at the planet: the stronger pull toward the planet
The thin band at the child: the weaker pull toward the child

Examples

An apple falls to Earth, while Earth is pulled toward the apple by a tiny, tiny amount.
Earth pulls the Moon around it, and the Moon pulls Earth’s oceans to make tides.
