One illustrated lesson a day, and everything around it

The idea fits in a sentence: children understand and remember more of what they can see. The rest of the app serves that idea.

Why pictures rather than text

This is not an aesthetic preference. Material presented as an image is remembered better than the same material presented as text — what cognitive science calls the picture superiority effect. A lesson that fits on one clear diagram is re-read in seconds and recalled months later.

That is why every lesson in the app fits on one image, with no wall of text around it, and why that image contains no unnecessary words.

What the app does not do

It does not replace a teacher and does not claim to. It does not grade your child, compare them to anyone, or send guilt-trip notifications. It never shows advertising to a child and sells no data.
