Circle, Square: What Comes Next?

Sometimes shapes come back in the same order. A red circle, then a blue square, then a red circle, then a blue square. The order keeps coming back. After a blue square comes a red circle.

Examples

  • You make a bead necklace: red, blue, red, blue. The next bead is red.
  • You clap your hands, then stamp your foot, again and again. After the foot comes the clap.

Key takeaways

  • A pattern repeats the same thing every time.
  • Look at the order before, and you know what comes next.
